"Hazelnut Kids was created in order to give parents a beautiful, easy-to-navigate website where they can find natural toys for their children, and where they would know that all of the toys offered were created by companies that follow the strictest safety standards. As parents ourselves, we know that there are many areas regarding our children that require some research. We hope to make parents lives a little easier by doing the toy research for them, and presenting our findings through Hazelnut Kids.

After our first son was born we gave up the city life to live closer to nature, in an area filled with trees, lakes, rivers, and animals - Traverse City, Michigan. Living here has strengthened our commitment to caring for the environment, and that commitment has led us to choose products for Hazelnut Kids that are safe for children as well as for the planet.

We sell unique, wooden, and organic toys, as well as products to make life a little easier. Our motto is “Give your child’s imagination a gift”. It's amazing to see how one quality toy without batteries and bells and whistles can spark a child's imagination. One day a simple wooden wand is a fireman's tool, the next it is a magician's wand, and the following day it is used by the leader of the marching band! We love to watch our sons and their friends play with their wooden toys or mouth an organic, chemical-free "lovey", so we're happy to spread the word and the joy of owning quality, earth-friendly toys.
